This Privacy Policy describes how Capital Finance LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information in connection with your use of the Marcy’s House mobile application (the “App”).
By using our App, you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
- Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly to us, information we collect automatically, and information we receive from third parties.
A. Information You Provide to Us:
Account and Profile Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and password. During onboarding and in your settings, you may provide additional profile information, including your name, age, biography, photos, profession(s), and the types of professionals you are looking to meet.
User Content: We collect the content you create within the App, including chat messages, images sent in messages, and feedback submissions.
Communications with Us: If you contact us for support, you may provide us with your email address and any other information you choose to provide.
B. Information We Collect Automatically:
Location Information: With your permission, we collect your device’s location to show you potential matches nearby. We may store this as a GeoPoint for distance calculations.
Usage Information: We collect information about your activity on the App, such as your swipes and matches.
Device Information: We collect your Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token to send you push notifications for new matches and messages.
C. Information from Third Parties:
Firebase: We use Firebase services for authentication, data storage, and other backend functionalities. We may receive information from Firebase to confirm your account creation and status.
- How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To Provide and Maintain the App: To create and manage your account, facilitate matching and communication between users, and operate the core features of the App.
To Personalize Your Experience: To show you relevant profiles based on your location, search radius, and “looking for” preferences.
For Safety and Security: To screen and moderate uploaded images for inappropriate content, to investigate and act on user reports, and to enforce our Terms & Conditions.
To Communicate With You: To send you service-related announcements, push notifications for new matches and messages, and respond to your support requests.
To Improve Our Services: To analyze usage trends and improve the functionality and user experience of the App.
- How We Share Your Information
Your information is shared in the following ways:
With Other Users: Your public profile information (name, age, bio, photos, professions, location string, and what you’re looking for) is visible to other users of the App to facilitate matching.
With Our Service Providers: We use third-party service providers, primarily Google Firebase, for data hosting, authentication, cloud functions, and other infrastructure needs. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.
For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect and defend our rights or property, prevent fraud, or protect the personal safety of users of the App or the public.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
- Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no internet-based service is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.
- Your Choices and Rights
You have certain rights and choices regarding your information:
Profile Information: You can review and update your profile information at any time through the in-app settings screen.
Location Services: You can enable or disable location services at any time through your device’s settings. Please note that disabling location services will prevent you from seeing potential matches.
Account Deletion: You can delete your account at any time from the settings screen. This action is irreversible and will permanently delete your profile, matches, and conversations.
Push Notifications: You can opt-out of receiving push notifications by changing the settings on your mobile device.
- Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. When you delete your account, we will take steps to delete your information within a reasonable timeframe, subject to any legal obligations to retain such data.
- Children’s Privacy
Our services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information and terminate the child’s account.
- Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
